Thank for for visiting Game Day Cornhole Boards!
When I think back to when or why I started building cornhole boards, I can pin point the reason to little league baseball. Little league baseball in Bay City, MI is a huge summer pastime. Some would say baseball is to Bay City, what fireworks are to the 4th of July. In 2007 my oldest son’s baseball team won the 11 year old District 14 Championship. The win catapulted the Southwest Little League team to the state tournament in Gaylord. When we packed up to leave for the state tournament in Gaylord, I packed up a set of cornhole boards, just in case we got bored. Little did I know a how much fun the boys and their families would have playing cornhole!

Not only did the Southwest Little League team finish third in the state tournament, but cornhole followed that same team to the 12 year old District 14 Championship the following year. The year was 2008, and we were fortunate enough to be able to play this state tournament right on Kolb Field, our home field! Our boys from Southwest Little League did not disappoint! They persevered and earned the 12 year old State Championship in 2008!

Everyone seemed to enjoy the plain wood cornhole sets so much, I decided to see if I could paint a design on the top. What I found out right away was, I am not much of an artist, but in the fall of 2008, I was a good enough artist that friends and family started to ask if I would build a set for them. The next thing you know, I was customizing cornhole games out of my garage! The first set I built was made with 2 x 4’s and I cut the hole with a jigsaw. The process was painstakingly agonizing, but I enjoyed staying busy and pushed on. Today the process is a little better, and I am a little older so the process is still painstakingly agonizing, but I invite you to look around and if you have any questions feel to Contact Us. My hope is cornhole (and little league) will bring as much joy to you and your family as it has to mine!
